Some of those places were literal — like Willow Springs Boys Ranch and Jacob’s Ladder Camps & Retreats, where young people were invited into trust, growth, and real responsibility. Others were less tangible — leadership labs inside small businesses, nonprofit teams, coffee shops, and start-ups — where culture wasn’t a word on the wall, but something lived every day.
Most recently, I founded EÔTÉ Coffee — not just as a roastery, but as a values-driven gathering place. I’ve seen what happens when mission and business align — and when they don’t.That’s what led me to start Overlander Consulting. I work with leaders who feel a tension: they’re good at what they do, but they’re looking for something deeper. Clarity. Alignment. Maybe even a new path entirely.
